I am pleased to announce that Friends of Cancer Patients (FOCP) is hosting the 5th Annual Combined Gulf Cancer Conference on November 21-23, 2022 in the partnership with The Gulf Federation for Cancer Control and Gulf Center for Cancer Control & Prevention, under the Patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of the Ruler of Sharjah, Founder and Royal Patron of FOCP, International Ambassador of the World Cancer Declaration for the Union for International Cancer Control, International Ambassador for Childhood Cancer for UICC, with the theme of “Continuum of Care in Cancer Control & Management”.
As informed previously, the special VIP panel discussion has been placed on the first day of conference to initiate a “Situational Analysis on Cancer Research in the gulf region”. I would like to encourage our colleagues, medical specialists, delegates and our industry partners to participate actively in this important conference.

I am happy to inform that we are organizing the workshop on “Updating the Gulf Guidelines for colorectal cancer” to be held from 8-9 November 2022, in Kuwait. The workshop will be attended by experts from GCC countries to update the guidelines for the management of colorectal cancer. The purpose of the workshop is to provide information on which decisions can be made, rather than to dictate a specific form of treatment. These guidelines are intended for the use of all practitioners, health care workers, and medical students who desire information about the management of colorectal cancer will be covered in these guidelines.
