Dear Colleagues,

We are closely approaching the date of the first combined cancer meeting (government and non-government) to discuss the GCC Treatment Protocol Guidelines on breast and colorectal cancer.  The meeting will be held on 5-6 November 2017 at the Kuwait Cancer Society. As you may recall, we have spent several years preparing the draft protocol in coordination and consultation with experts in these fields. The goal of these guidelines is to standardize treatment protocol in the management of breast and colorectal cancer in the GCC setting. We are very thankful to the Gulf Centre for Cancer Control and Prevention (GCCCP) in collaboration with the Gulf Federation for Cancer Control (GFFCC) for accepting the task of reviewing the guidelines by validating it with cancer experts in the GCC countries and Yemen. We hope that this pioneering work would propel more efforts to continue and prepare the same guidelines for other types of cancer in the near future.
