Hadhramout Foundation for Cancer Control “Amal” organized the activities of the sixth joint Gulf Cancer Awareness Week in Mukalla, in the presence of the Assistant Undersecretary for Hadramout Governorate for Youth Affairs, Professor Fahmy Badawi.
In the event that was organized in front of the historic Royal Palace in Mukalla, coinciding at the same time with similar inauguration events in all countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, under the slogan “40% prevention, 40% cure – this is my decision” over a whole week.
Badawi stressed the importance of these awareness activities to raise awareness among citizens, thanking the Hadramout Foundation for Cancer Control for its adoption of such activities, in conjunction with its launch in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Hadramout Foundation for Cancer Control “Amal”, Dr. Abdul Qadir Muhammad Bayazid, pointed out the great role that these awareness activities play in raising the level of public awareness, calling on all parties to support and support the Hadramout Cancer Foundation to run its activities and charitable work to serve cancer patients, and limit its spread.
In his turn, the Executive Director of the Hadramout Foundation for Cancer Control, Dr. Walid Abdullah Al-Batati, reviewed the nature of the foundation’s work and the targeted programs that it establishes in the field of cancer control, and in a speech to him referred to the severe financial crisis that the foundation is going through, calling on the charitable authorities to support the foundation for its continued provision of services to cancer patients From all the governorates of the republic.
And everyone offered with utmost appreciation and gratitude to the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council for their unparalleled cooperation and support for awareness and care efforts for cancer patients in Hadhramaut and Yemen in general, recalling the Hadhramaut Foundation for Cancer Control’s award of the Shield of Excellence from the Gulf Federation for Cancer Control, and the selection of the foundation to be a member of the Executive Committee of the Gulf Campaign.
