Celebrating the 15th anniversary of the publication of the GJO

Al-Saleh: 478 research published in 35 countries from around the world
The General Secretariat of the Gulf Federation for Cancer Control celebrated the 15th anniversary of the issuance of the Gulf Journal of Oncology (GJO).
This came in a press conference held on this occasion in the presence of a number of members of the Federation, during which the number of cancer-related researches that were published in the journal over the past fifteen years was reviewed.
The Secretary-General of the Gulf Federation for Cancer Control, the magazine’s founder and editor-in-chief, Dr. Khaled Al-Saleh that the number of research published in the Gulf Journal of Oncology amounted to 478 research.
He pointed out that the number of countries that participated in presenting their scientific research related to cancer in the magazine reached 35 countries from around the world.
He stressed that the journal has obtained the international classification as a reference journal in the American National library of PubMed and Medline since January 2009 and is now considered a reference in scientific research related to cancer in the Middle East.
Al-Saleh stated that this magazine is issued by the General Secretariat of the Gulf Federation for Cancer Control, headquartered in the State of Kuwait, and has 80 arbitrators from a number of countries around the world.
He added that the journal is the main source of encouragement for researchers in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, which publishes their distinguished research that is accepted by arbitrators, as the number of research published in it is approximately 50 research papers per year, noting that the journal receives more than 150 research papers every year from all countries the world.
He pointed out that these researches are judged and 50% of those of the distinguished level are accepted, pointing out that the waiting period for publication reaches 6 months to a year, and the General Secretariat of the GFFCC issues 3 issues of this magazine every year.
He said that the most important features of this magazine are that the sources in the American library “online” are searched, where they are read by all researchers and interested doctors in the world with ease and ease.
